Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

In short: if you request early access, we keep your email address so we can contact you about Aloud. We don't use cookies or trackers, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are

This policy covers the Aloud website and its early-access form. “Aloud”, “we” and “us” refer to the team behind Aloud. If you have a question about this policy, email us at support@aloudedu.com.

This policy does not cover the Aloud product used in courses. How we handle course material, student recordings and transcripts is set out in our agreement with each university or instructor, and summarised in the Student data section of our home page.

What we collect

We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels on this website.

How we use it

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to unrelated mailing lists. We process your email on the basis of your request (your consent), and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, who handle data only on our instructions:

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, with safeguards in place as required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it to contact you about early access, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Just email support@aloudedu.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Sign-up data is stored with our hosting provider, sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and accessible only to the Aloud team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Children

This website is meant for instructors and university staff. It isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use your email, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect.
